The Military’s Robot Dog Just Got More Doglike

Boston DynamicsBigDog all-terrain robotic quadruped now has a little brother, and its 160lb body is better at running aroud like an actual canine than its predecessor, thanks to a new rotating motor and a sleek, ground-locating sensor system. With the added ability to tackle mountainous terrain and tight indoor corners, the military’s mechanical pet, which the’re calling Spot, can now sit, fetch, and survey carnage indoors, as well as out.
