Ryan Lochte Celebrates His Dog’s Eighth Birthday For Third Year in a Row

Ryan Lochte is known for having an, um, creative imagination for the facts. So it shouldn’t be surprising that—from the same person who brought you a completely fabricated robbery report that basically turned his victims into perpetrators in Brazil—comes a creative interpretation of something as simple as his own dog’s age. Because he definitely just celebrated his dog’s eighth birthday for the third year in a row.

Forgetting your dog’s age is, you know, kind of par for the course for owners. Dogs are not really going to remind you how old they are, and you kind of vaguely remember how old they were when you got them—it’s not like you witnessed their birth or anything. But this, paired with Lochte’s general, shall we say, presence of mind, makes for a pretty hilarious timeline. (He did once think that 7 x 4 was 21.) Not to mention he (kinda) gave his dog a beer.

There is a dispute that the first image, above—posted by Twitter user @wholegrainne—was photoshopped, but I can’t really see why someone would do that. (There are also conspiracy theories that the dog is a different dog.) Though, if the first photo is correct, it seems that Lochte has caught up and adjusted one year at some point, as this is his current tweet:

Either way, Lochte has celebrated his dog’s eighth birthday at least twice in three years. And that’s pretty funny.
