There’s enough gossip going around the world of electronic music that it probably deserves its own TMZ, Gawker, and Perez Hilton. We keep track of the drama, the beef, the LOLs, the dramatic build-ups, and the tragic drops so you don’t have to. Now, let’s see who killed it this week.
SIR CHUCKIE
Dirty Dutch dude Chuckie is now Sir Dirty Dutch dude Chuckie to you. The president of Suriname knighted the fist-pump-car-alarm-airhorn king this week, honoring his musical impact on the community. In return Chuckie played a DJ set and even gave the prez a lesson. Also, we now know what Suriname is.

PARTY’S OVER
Canadians talk about Shambhala festival almost as musch as people in San Francisco talk about Burning Man. It has been running for years and is known as “Canada’s premiere electronic music festival.” The vibe is always very right there so why would someone dose a security guard with a sealed water bottle full of GHB and LSD? Not. Cool. This is why we can’t have nice things.

HARLEM SNAKED
This week Baauer explained how he made no money on his charting hit “Harlem Shake.” Because of the samples he used he was unable to make a dime. So before you whine about how tired you were of the videos just think about how exhausted he must have been.

HIT SINGLES
Uh oh! Did Kitty and Hot Sugar break up? Maybe Kitty was secretly snap chatting with Danny Brown this whole time. Or maybe she’s saving herself for Justin Bieber. We are sorry Mr. Sugar, but there are plenty of fish at the rave.

EDC HINTS AT GOING WOODSTOCK
If I see my mom and dad at Electric Daisy in Woodstock, I swear to God…

ACCESS DENIED
MTV moved it’s VMA date from September to August causing both Zedd and Nervo to withdraw from the UK’s Creamfields festival. Nervo is “gutted” and Zedd is probably somewhere being sad too (if he even knows he was supposed to play there). I am sure they haven’t played any other festivals this year. Poor babies. They totally have to go to the MTV Music awards. Tough life. #EDM.

MORODER PLAYING HARD DAY OF THE DEAD
Sooooooo… how’s this gonna work guys?
