Japanese producer, J.A.K.A.M., shared the spiritual, internationally-influenced title track off his forthcoming Rebirth EP for Tel Aviv label Malka Tuti, which is premiering today on THUMP. The recording sessions for the release involved artists and musicians from Senegal, Egypt, and Cuba, and they convene here with Takashige Miyawaki for a relatively genre-less, but still dancefloor-centric, journey of entrancing improvisation.
“It is thought that dancing to reach a higher state of consciousness is very effective,” he told THUMP via email. “So there is an interest in dance music that stirs the imagination, in order to create a new vision.”
