The latest edition of Diplo & Friends—Diplo’s bi-weekly radio show on BBC Radio 1Extra—features New York-based newcomer Jai Wolf, a recent mainstay of ODESZA’s Foreign Family Collective.
In a recent interview with Billboard, Wolf said: “‘Remix’ has the connotation that it has to have a big drop, but I don’t treat it like, ‘This needs a dance beat’.” Wolf demonstrates this contemporary dance music philosophy throughout the mix, particularly on TRAILS’ glimmering edit of “Never Be Like You” by flume, and his own candy-painted mashup/edit of Billboard’s “Heatwave” & Troye Sivan’s “Youth.”

The mix comes concurrently with an announcement of Wolf’s Kindred Spirits tour extension. Phase two is a massive North American tour, culminating with a show at Terminal 5 in his hometown, New York City. More information and tickets available here.
