Goosebumps – “Best Friend”
I’m gonna preface this by saying the last time I saw Goosebumps, they sounded like absolute dogshit. They are punk as fuck, were first to play in a new venue, and during a festival too (New York’s Alright), so you know that all those factors lead to sounding like a steaming pile. That said, every other time I have seen Goosebumps it has been total chaos and mayhem, with the band leading all out violent assaults by way of stage dives, pits and the like. Plus their singer Ray Dryburgh can recite all of Dice’s first LP by heart. V chill.

Rory Erickson – “I Walked with a Zombie”
I have two friends named Brian because that is how beloved I am among the human race. TWO Brians. I am #blessed. Anyway, Brian Number One is in a band called Plow United and is putting out a solo record which is fucking amazing. Brian Number Two (LOL “number two”) is in some other band. Together, they are in a band called Molly and the Zombies. I saw them this Christmas in New Jersey playing what I think has been their only show so far. They don’t even have enough songs to cover a full set so they covered this song. Above is the original and here is their version if you don’t mind a bunch of drunk New Jerseyites screaming things. If you grew up anywhere near Jersey, you’re used to that sort of thing.
