A Human History of Staring at the Sun (Video)

Just as the STEREO spacecraft were returning the first 3D images of the Sun, NASA’s Goddard Space Center made this condensed history of how humans have stared at our star over time, from Stonehenge to the impressive Solar Dynamic Observatory and beyond, even if we weren’t supposed to. Next logical step: launch a freaking spaceship into the thing.
